Restore a youthful, refreshed appearance to the eyes by removing excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids.
Overview
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
As we get older, our face is by far the biggest betrayer of our advancing age. The natural slow-down in our bodies’ production of collagen and elastin – the building blocks of healthy, hydrated, and taut skin – causes dryness, sagging and the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
The skin around our eyes is particularly thin and sensitive and is often the first area to show the signs of aging. In many patients, this means that the upper or lower eyelids, or sometimes both, begin to sag. In the case of the upper lids, some people may find that the sagging is so severe that their vision is partially obscured.
Fortunately, there is a way to rectify the problem of excess skin and lines around your eyes that can help you look more youthful – a procedure known as blepharoplasty. Here at the Weston Center for Plastic Surgery, our board-certified cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Eberle, has extensive experience and knowledge in providing outstanding quality procedures, including blepharoplasty.
