Candidacy

Good Candidates for a Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian butt lift carries few risks since the fat used for the injections is taken directly from your own body. For this reason, anyone desiring a more proportionate, shapelier buttocks is generally a good candidate for the procedure. Ideally, you must also have enough body fat in the donor area of your body in order for Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S. to obtain enough fat cells to enhance the buttocks to the desired result.

The Procedure

What Happens During a Brazilian Butt Lift?

During a Brazilian butt lift, the patient is placed under general anesthesia in conjunction with using a local anesthetic that’s injected into the treatment areas. In most cases, the fat is taken from the stomach area, back, or thighs. The removal part of the procedure is very much like liposuction as a similar technique is used in collecting the fat cells. After the fat has been gathered, Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S. creates tiny incisions in each cheek of the buttocks and then carefully injects the fat into these incisions using a syringe. The buttocks are then shaped into the desired result by using both fat injection and liposuction.

Recovery

Recovery After a Brazilian Butt Lift

Recovery can be one of the most difficult aspects of this procedure as it may prove to be a challenge to avoid sitting for extended periods of time over the first few weeks following surgery. It is not uncommon to experience swelling, bruising and/or tenderness in both the donor area and the buttocks. Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S. can provide you with a prescription for pain medication as needed.

You will also be required to wear a support garment for several weeks following surgery. You may return to work one to two weeks after the procedure and resume normal exercise six weeks post-surgery. Complete results will be seen several weeks following your surgery. Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S. recommends participating in regular exercise and maintaining a healthy diet in order to guarantee continued results.
